Pipeline Tools: Torque Drive Pipeline Stab

Traditional pipeline stabs require an ROV to push the stab into the receptacle. While the actual process isn't necessarily complicated, it's often a difficult and extremely time consuming operation.

Claxton have adapted proprietary tooling techniques to develop an ROV-friendly stab for pipeline heads. Unlike traditional stabs that require the ROV to push the stab into the receptacle, our system uses positive mechanical engagement using a torque drive mechanism that engages in minutes – time after time.

Our engineers took a fresh look at this relatively simple problem, but achieved a solution that is faster, more efficient and saves the operator money. Claxton is committed to doing the same with every task our clients give us.
