Claxton has been named ‘Great Engineering Business, 2009’ at a glittering awards night. The Spirit of Enterprise Awards have become the premier business awards in a town that has long been known as one of the key hubs for offshore activity in the UK.

Praising Claxton for a committed approach to client service and ability to provide truly world-class technology, the judges awarded us first place in the hotly contested engineering and technology category.

In collecting the award, Laura Claxton thanked everyone at Claxton for their support and hard work and thanked her father, Bob Claxton for founding the company – which has grown from a family concern to become one of the flagships of the Acteon group.

This year has already seen Claxton win awards for outstanding innovation and a number of Health and Safety accolades.
