DESIGN ENGINEER GREAT YARMOUTH
Contingent on experience + excellent benefits package
Reporting to the Design Team Leader, an opportunity for a Design Engineer with at least 5 years’ demonstrable knowledge and experience has arisen in our young and growing Company. Your experience will have ideally been gained within the Oil & Gas industry although other engineering backgrounds would be considered (eg. Automotive, Aerospace, etc).
As a minimum, the successful candidate will possess the following IT skills: 3D CAD (Solidworks), Analysis software (Ansys, Cosmos, Mathcad), 2D CAD (Autocad), Microsoft Office. A mechanical engineering qualification, ideally to degree level, is essential although HND/HNC equivalent will be considered.
The key responsibilities of the role will be as follows:
- Provide design output in support of the company’s projects and products (drawings, calculations, FEA, etc)
- Control the design, manufacturing and QA aspects of projects in association with the Project Engineer
- Instruct procurement and inspection
- Support commissioning activities on and offshore
- Maintain electronic media and hardware in an appropriate manner
